Jorge Luis Morejon participated in the homage to Cuban patriot Jose Marti in the Koubek Center, University of Miami. The event was organized by Dr. Ofelia Tabares-Fernadez and directed by Teresa Maria Rojas. He shared the stage with Teresa Maria Rojas, Mike Porcel and Isnaya Santos, who was then one of his students in the MDC Wolfson Campus Children's Program. He interpreted Marti's poem La bailarina espanola ( The Spanish Dancer), while Mike Porcel accompanied Isnaya Santos' flamenco. No pictures of the event are available .
